frances approaches
Anxious

This is Hurricane Frances as of 8:00am this morning.
They are still unsure of what and how it is going to behave. The projections still have the eye going just south of Orlando, and across the state, exiting off the west coast northwest of central Florida. They are telling us that the eye will not come onto land until later tonight and then it is traveling so slow it will not reach Orlando area until Sunday late morning or early afternoon. We just had our first "rain band" come thru my area which lasted about 10 minutes, dumped just over ¼ inch of rain in my guage. The rain bands amount to high winds, heavy rain, and very dark skies and a pressure feeling. It get's nerve wracking trying to wait this thing out.

Here is the latest picture from NOAA, you can make out the rain band that just crossed us here in NW Orlando.

Hopefully, it fizzles and next week will hardly be a memory.

I can't believe that this is happening so soon after Charley. Aunti Lyn, please take care, this one seems to be worse than Charley I've heard? Please keep us all updated as to how you are doing.
